14 Day Northern Adventure - The classic wild walk in the park
If you like good things, great service, amazing experiences with that “Classic Wild African Flair” then we encourage you to read on. Like a well blended wine this safari brings forth the classic of all classics. Wake in the lushness of River Trees lodge on the outskirts of Arusha town – a short time later you will be magically transported through the dramatic changing landscape of the Maasai steppe to the diverse eco-system of Tarangire National Park, “The elephant playground of the north”. The word “Classic” now captures the imagination and flair of beautifully located tented safari camps and “fly camping” at the foot of the Great Rift Valley – sip coffee or enjoy that favorite chilled cocktail with only a shallow river separating man and beast. This is only the beginning of the greatest combined walking/vehicle supported safari classic – take in the central game filled plains of Serengeti at a tented safari camp before a short move and a few nights of fly camping again in the heart of Serengeti. Head out daily underfoot; to take a “Wild walk in the park” with professional walking guides bringing that different perspective of viewing wildlife from ground level. The extremes of Lake Natron scenic beauty need to be experienced to understand the enormity of the land that civilization simply forgot about. Spend time amongst the nomadic brightly dressed Maasai tribe’s men and women to understand the true story, beliefs and traditions of the Maasai people. The Great Rift valley and Lake Manyara a picture postcard ending to the safari adventure of a life time.
