For most beach goers Mafia’s attraction is the laid back pace of island life, yes there are many things to fill your time if being a sun worshiper isn’t for you. Naturally snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities are popular and if heading to this remote island off of Tanzania’s mainland during the right season one can enjoy snorkeling opportunities with the whale sharks the gentle giants of the Indian Ocean. The beach holiday destination offers the romance and wildness of a Robinson Crusoe adventure. Sail on traditional dhows to your own sand bank island, enjoy freshly made seafood picnic hampers, walk around the island staring out to shimmering horizons then walk around the island again. Your journey starts at Dar es Salaam domestic airport with a flight to Mafia Island. Upon arrival at Mafia Airport you will be collected and transfer to your hotel located on the wonderful coast of Mafia

Pure relaxation on Mafia Island. Diving and snorkeling can be organized direct with the hotel.
