Day 1 to 5 offers experiences so diverse and mind empowering that you will forget what day of the week it is or where you will be heading the following day. Step back in time and slow it right down as you step into the rhythm of our nomadic colorful Maasai neighbors. Gain a deeper “real” understanding of the Maasai beliefs and traditions; explore the Losimingori Mountains with a Maasai warrior on foot whilst breathing in the enormity of “The Great Rift Valley” and Lake Manyara National Park. The crème del la crème awaits 1hr from Isoitok Camp. Ngorongoro Crater will appear before your eyes like the mighty abyss and to allow enough time for you to soak in this 8th wonder of the world join a park ranger on “Crater Rim walk” before exploring these the crater floor my vehicle.

Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be picked up by your B2B driver guide and transfer to Ahadi Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Morning departure from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives of this very diverse park. If you are lucky you may see the famous tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until mid-afternoon – then slowly make your way out of the park and transfer to Isoitok Camp Manyara.
Freshen up and enjoy a real cultural experience around the fire place with traditional song and dance.

Day 3: Esilalei Maasai Community
Meet with your local Maasai guide who will introduce you to his village. Get a better understanding of the natural medicines still used on a daily basis with a Maasai medicine walk of the surrounding area. Then continue down to a Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs and rituals. Mid afternoon you board the safari vehicle again and continue your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. You will collect a ranger at the National Park Headquarters before embarking on a crater rim nature walk. Late afternoon head to Rhino lodge located just off the Ngorongoro Crater rim – enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total. Leave the crater early afternoon and transfer to Arusha where you check in at Ahadi Lodge.

Day 5: Shanga Shangaa and departure
Morning visit to Shanga Shangaa with a hot lunch, if time allows a visit to Cultural Heritage or the Maasai market for some last minute curio shopping before being transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for international flight back home. (B)
