Low season special: April & May
It’s a misconception that low season in Tanzania is a reason to stay away and search other destinations throughout our wonderful planet to spend a week or two with your hard earned cash. Tanzania in the last few years is being voted as top safari destination in the world not only for photographic wildlife safaris but climbs and treks, its rich culture and untouched beaches.
As we are and have been based in Tanzania for over a decade we know a thing or two about the changing safari seasons and one thing we can assure you if it rains it doesn’t rain all day. We should explain the reason why you should come in April & May which is classified as the long rains. By May however things are pretty stable with great clear days and a lushness that needs to be witnessed rather than told.
Reasons to consider - main lodges give incredible low seasons deals, so already your $ is doing well with great lodges at give away prices in prime locations overlooking the flat top acacia of Serengeti or perilously perched on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. The other thing we should tell you is that the Wildlife has never heard of “low season” so they are still there in their numbers although perhaps a little more hidden with taller grazing lands and with more drinking water from the rains of April they do not concentrate so much around water holes. However with that said and done we do encourage you to drop us a line to learn a little more about low season special holiday breaks as you may find yourselves in the National Parks without another soul in sight, and if you need reassurance the sun does shine pretty much daily. To conclude if you have a week to 10 days on your hands – why not look into international flights directly into Kilimanjaro (JRO) or via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Kenya and leave the rest to us to make sure your $$$ do the travelling for you without burning a hole in your pocket!!
