Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be collected and transfer to your Arusha accommodation

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart from Arusha in the morning and begin the drive through a changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for game drives of the ‘Elephant Playground’. Spend the day game driving in this wonderful park, stopping at one of the lovely picnic sites to enjoy your packed lunch.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.

Either start the day with an early game drive and packed breakfast before returning to camp for a hot lunch and rest before your afternoon game drive. Alternatively enjoy breakfast in camp before heading out on a full day game drive with a packed lunch.

Day 4: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a leisurely breakfast you head out from camp and enjoy your final game drive on route to the park gate. You will then continue your journey up the great rift valley and onto Ngorongoro Conservation Area in time for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is spent at leisure.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti

Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After breakfast you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver guide will advice on the best places to visit.

Day 7: Central Serengeti

Optional: Early morning head out for a Balloon flight. View the Serengeti plains from a hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast on the landing site. A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park making your way from central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti in search of the great migration. You will enjoy a packed lunch on route.

Day 9: Northern Serengeti

A full day to explore northern Serengeti in search of the great migration.

Either start the day with an early game drive and packed breakfast before returning to camp for a hot lunch and rest before your afternoon game drive. Alternatively enjoy breakfast in camp before heading out on a full day game drive with a packed lunch.

Day 10: Northern Serengeti to Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport

After breakfast at the lodge take a short game drive on route to Kogatende airstrip in time for your morning flight to Arusha. On arrival you will be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge for lunch before heading off to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your departing international flight, end of services. (B, L)
