Below, we go through the adventure day-by-day, giving you a better feel of the adventure.

Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport

Arusha accommodation on half board.

Optional Airport transfer from Kilimanjaro to Arusha town at additional cost.

Day 2: Shanga Shanga and Maasai Cultural Experience

After breakfast drive the short distance to visit Shanga Shanga, a project set up to give  employment and skills in bead work, fabric work and glass blowing to the disabled persons of Arusha. Enjoy a complimentary tour of the workshop.

You will then drive onto Isoitok Camp nestled between Tarangire and Lake Manyara in the Esilalei Maasai community. Enjoy lunch in the camp before meeting your Maasai guide and continue down to a traditional Maasai Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs and rituals

Get a better understanding of the natural medicines still used on a daily basis with a Maasai medicine walk of the surrounding area. The continue on a short walk to the local view point to soak up the views over Lake Manyara and the great Rift Valley escarpment, while enjoying a cool drink and some snacks.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Depart from camp in the morning and begin the drive through a changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for game drives of the ‘Elephant Playground’. Spend the day game driving in this wonderful park, stopping at one of the lovely picnic sites to enjoy your packed lunch.

Returning to camp for an evening wine tasting before dinner.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After a leisurely breakfast you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver guide will advice on the best places to visit.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Optional: Early morning head out for a Balloon flight. View the Serengeti plains from a hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast on the landing site. A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.

Either start the day with an early morning game drive with a packed breakfast before returning to camp for a hot lunch and rest before your afternoon game drive. Alternatively enjoy breakfast in camp for heading off for a full day game drive with packed lunch.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast game drives en-route out of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater and onto your accommodation in Karatu town. Late afternoon/early evening enjoy a Massage at the in house spa.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total.

Day 8: Flight to Zanzibar, Stone Town.

End your safari experience with a Champagne breakfast before starting your journey back to Arusha airport for your afternoon flight to Zanzibar with a packed lunch. On arrival transfer to Stone town.

Day 9: Zanzibari Spa Experience

After breakfast you will walk through the historical streets of Stone Town to Mrembo Traditional Spa to enjoy a Zanzibar beauty experience of a body scrub and massage and optional henna tattoo. You will then have the remaining of the day to explore the town at your leisure.

Day 10: Zanzibar

After breakfast you will enjoy a 1.5-2 hour learning experience in the ways of making traditional Zanzibar soap. Late morning you will then transfer onto your accommodation on the coast.

Day 11: Zanzibar

Day at leisure, the lodge offers optional activities such as snorkelling, diving or spa treatments.
