This group safari takes you to the most popular parks of the Northern circuit and accommodation is in comfortable midrange lodges and permanent tented camps. Our group safaris take a maximum of 12 people and a window seat is guaranteed for all in the safari vehicle.

Below, we go through the adventure day-by-day, giving you a better feel of the adventure.

Day 1: Day 1

Departure from Arusha at 9am in the morning and begin the drive through a changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for game drives of the ‘Elephant Playground’. Spend the day game driving in this wonderful park, stopping at one of the lovely picnic sites to enjoy your packed lunch. Afternoon game drives en route to Kichuguu Tented Camp for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2: Day 2

Morning game drives of Tarangire National Park slowing making your way to the park gate. Then head the short distance to the Maasai community of Esilalei and Isoitok camp. Enjoy a hot lunch and in the afternoon meet with your local Maasai guide. Get a better understanding of the natural medicines still used on a daily basis with a Maasai medicine walk of the surrounding area. Then continue on a short walk to the local view point to soak up the views over Lake Manyara and the great Rift Valley escarpment, while enjoying a cool drink and some snacks.

Day 3: Day 3

Early morning meet with your Maasai guide and continue down to a traditional Maasai Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs and rituals. Then enjoy breakfast before departing to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives of this very diverse park. If you are lucky you may see the famous tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until late afternoon – then slowly make your way out of the park and return to the camp.

Day 4: Day 4

Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After breakfast you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver guide will advice on the best places to visit.

Day 5: Day 5

Optional: Early morning head out for a Balloon flight. View the Serengeti plains from a hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast on the landing site.

A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.

Day 6: Day 6

After breakfast game drives en-route out of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the crater rim and onto the NCAA HQ where you collect a ranger who will accompany you on a nature walk of the crater rim. Then transfer to the karatu Highlands where you check in at Endoro Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Day 7

Early morning descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total. Mid afternoon exit the park and start your journey back to Arusha – enjoy dinner and overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Day 8

Service ends after breakfast at the lodge and on wards travel can be organised on a request bases (B)
